The Western Rose Tour blends the spectacular beauty of the Rose Parade with the rich western heritage of Southern California. Enjoy reserved seating at Equestfest and attend Bandfest showcasing the pageantry, music, and equestrian traditions that make the Rose Parade experience truly unique.
Explore the region’s cultural highlights with visits to the Autry Museum of the American West, the renowned Getty Museum and the fascinating La Brea Tar Pits. The tour concludes with a lunch aboard the historic Queen Mary, followed by a Tour of this famous ocean liner.

Monday, Dec. 28, 2026 – Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027
December 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction
- Upon your arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), shuttles are provided for the short ride to the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk on the Ballroom level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star LAX Marriott is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of the Western Rose Tour.
December 29 – Equestfest | Autry Museum | Santa Monica Shuttle
- Attend Equestfest for a preview of the horses and riders of the Rose Parade. Enjoy the trick riding and roping and other equestrian talents of the riders. It’s a festive atmosphere with displays and music.
- A variety of food choices are available for purchase in the vendor area at Equestfest.
- Explore the Autry Museum and experience a local Los Angeles favorite. See film memorabilia, Native American art, paintings, and other culturally significant contributions of art and history from the American West.
- Hop aboard the complimentary shuttle to Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the shopping, dining, and street entertainers at the Third Street Promenade as well as the other attractions of Santa Monica.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet
December 30 – Float Decorations | Lunch | Bandfest
- Tour a Float Barn as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on Rose Parade floats.
- Preview award-winning marching bands at Bandfest, and see the field shows that earned each a trip to the Rose Parade.
- Join us for lunch along the way

December 31 – La Brea Tar Pits | Getty Museum | Beverly Hills Lunch
- Start the day at the La Brea Tar Pits, located in the heart of Los Angeles, the only active urban fossil dig site in the world. Plants and animals from the last 50,000 years are discovered here every day. Outside, you can watch excavators carve fossils out of the asphalt.
- Continue your days with the beautiful artwork and sites at the Getty Museum. You’ll find centuries of artwork and views of Los Angeles at the top of the hill.
- Join us for lunch along the way.

January 1 – The Rose Parade | Queen Mary Lunch & Tour
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Be sure to join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras – Please Note: The sun will be at your back. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- After the Parade, you’ll make your way to Long Beach to enjoy lunch on the historic Queen Mary followed by a tour of the vessel.
- Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.

January 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Western Rose Tour. Join us in the ballroom for breakfast before departing for Los Angeles International Airport.
- Have a safe trip home. We hope to see you again soon.
