Combine the fun and excitement of the Rose Parade with the rare treat of decorating two parade floats. Then watch with pride from the grandstands as your floats pass in front of you. On The Float Builder Experience, you’ll spend part of two days putting the final touches on two Tournament of Roses floats. You’ll also visit a commercial float barn to admire the progress of other floats that will be in the parade. We’ve even included a Warner Bros. Studio Tour, The Academy Awards Museum of Motion Pictures and lunch aboard the Queen Mary.
Enjoy the festivities leading up to the Tournament of Roses celebration. See the sights, and hear the stories that have made Southern California a place of fame and infamy.
And that’s just the beginning. The Float Builder Experience includes a spectacular Tournament of Roses Parade celebration. We’ll take care of the details. And that means you can relax and have a great time.

Six Days / Five Nights: Includes The Rose Parade
Monday, Dec. 28, 2026 – Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027
December 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction
- Upon your arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), shuttles for the short ride to the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel are provided.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk on the Ballroom level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- A relaxing night at the 4-star LAX Marriott is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles.
December 29 – Decorate A Float | Santa Monica Shuttle
- Take part in a rare opportunity as you join a float decorating team to put the finishing touches on a Rose Parade Float. Work may include trimming, cutting, or putting flowers in vails. (Note that the needs of the float builder will determine all work at the time of your shift and will be based on the total number of participants present at that time. Participants may be rotated on and off assignments to allow all to participate.)
- In the evening (4:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.), hop aboard the complimentary shuttle to the Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the shopping, dining, and street entertainers at the Third Street Promenade as well as the other attractions of Santa Monica.
- Meals Provided: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
December 30 – Decorate A Float | Hollywood Tour | Float Barn Construction Viewing
- After Breakfast, visit the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade floats and a Tour of Hollywood with Lunch.
- In the afternoon, join another float decorating team and work on another entry in the Parade.
- Meals Provided: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
December 31 – Warner Brothers Studio Tour | Academy Awards Museum | Lunch
- After a Full American breakfast, go behind the scenes of your favorite television shows and movies during a Warner Bros. Studio Tour. See Hollywood at work and be on the lookout for a movie star or a television celebrity. (Note: Children must be at least 5 years of age for admission into Warner Bros. Studios.)
- Travel to the heart of Los Angeles to explore The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the largest museum in the world devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking.
- Meals Provided: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
January 1 – The Rose Parade | Queen Mary Tour & Lunch
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras – Please note: The sun will be at your back. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Following the Parade, you’ll make your way Long Beach to tour the Queen Mary and enjoy lunch abroad the historical ship.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
January 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Float Builder Experience - Los Angeles. Join us in the ballroom for breakfast before departing for Los Angeles International Airport.
- Bon voyage and have a safe trip home. We hope to see you again soon.
