Combine the fun and excitement of the Rose Parade with the rare treat of decorating two parade floats. Then watch with pride from the grandstands as your floats pass in front of you. On The Float Builder Experience – Hyatt, you’ll spend part of two days putting the final touches on two Tournament of Roses floats. You’ll also visit a commercial float barn to admire the progress of other floats that will be in the parade. We’ve even included a visit to Warner Bros. Studios and a lunch aboard the Queen Mary.
Enjoy the festivities leading up to the Tournament of Roses celebration. See the sights, and hear the stories that have made Southern California a place of fame and infamy.
And that’s just the beginning. The Float Builder Experience includes a spectacular Tournament of Roses Parade celebration. We’ll take care of the details. And that means you can relax and have a great time.

The Float Builder Experience - Long Beach Itinerary
Six Days / Five Nights: Includes The Rose Parade
Monday, Dec. 28, 2026 – Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027
Dec. 28 – Arrival | Hotel Check-In | Introduction
- Your tour begins when you arrive and check in at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach Hotel. Porterage at the hotel is included.
- After check-in, visit the Al Brooks hospitality desk level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
- A relaxing night at Hyatt Regency Long Beach is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of the Float Builder Experience-Hyatt.
Dec. 29 – Decorate A Float | Belmont Shore
- After breakfast, travel to pasadena to take part in a rare opportunity. Join a float decorating team to put the finishing touches on a rose parade float. Work may include trimming, cutting, or putting flowers in vails or on a float. (note that the needs of the float builder will determine all work at the time of your shift and will be based on the total number of participants present at that time. Participants may be rotated on and off assignments to allow all to participate.)
- In the evening, hop on the shuttle to Belmont Shore and enjoy the shopping, dining, and beautiful scenes of this coastal enclave.
- Meals Provided: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
Dec. 30 – Decorate a float / Queen Mary Lunch and tour
- After Breakfast, join another float decorating team and work on another entry in the Parade.
- Following the Decorating activity, travel with us to Long Beach Harbor for lunch aboard the Queen Mary, once the grandest ocean liner on the seas. A tour of the Queen Mary to follow after lunch.
- Meal Included: Breakfast | Queen Mary Lunch
Dec 31: Float Decorating Viewing | Lunch | Warner Bros Studio Tour
- After Breakfast, visit the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade floats.
- Go behind the scenes of your favorite television shows and movies during a Warner Bros. Studio Tour. See Hollywood at work, and be on the lookout for a movie star or a television celebrity. (Note: Children must be at least 5 years of age for admission into Warner Bros. Studios.)
- Be our guest for lunch at a local restaurant.
- Meals Included: Full American Breakfast Buffet | Lunch
Jan. 1 – The Rose Parade
- We have a spectacular day planned for you. Join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
- Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras – Please Note: The sun will be at your back. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.
- Following the Parade, enjoy a deluxe box lunch as you return to your hotel.
- Take time to relax during a leisurely afternoon on your own.

Jan. 2 – Farewell Breakfast | Departure
- The Farewell Breakfast is a chance to say goodbye to your tour guide and all the new friends you’ve made during your time on The Float Builder Experience - Long Beach. Join us in the ballroom for breakfast before departing.
- Bon voyage and have a safe trip home. We hope to see you again soon.
